BAH

Ok so I figured out (with help of some friends) that I suck at painting... thats a no brainer, but I figured out by my failed attemps at how I want to paint, and its going to sound wierd but i think i can do it.

I figure since I like to draw more like doodle I am going to paint that way too.

so the drop pod is right now taking a bath in a simple clean solution, and I stripped the paint from a test land raider and a vindicator, so I will post pics when I am starting the new painting adventure.....

So I have got about 80% through painting the drop pod for my dread, and this is also going to become the colours that I am going to be using.

I have some highlights and touch ups to do but she is mainly complete.

I also have to put her together but that will come soon enough.

Ok, so I have started to paint, ok primed.
tomorrow night paint, also I got the forge world dread drop pod!!!
I will put up some pics tomorrow after I put some paint on these.

Bases and protection

Hello,

ok so I have been playing Drangon age 2 and failed at posting here.
I got in my Battle Foam order. I went with a black 720. Made some custom trays, and picked up an already made tray. Created a topper for it all.

below is what I picked up.
2 50 man trays, a 35 man terminator tray, a three drop pod, 6 rhino tray or simular like vindicator,  (stacked)
and a tray for 4 dreads, and two landraiders with a couple spots to put extra arms, or guns if needed.

 

 

 

I have also received my bases. They come from dragon Forge and I love them, great price, fast, and looks good too.

I picked up terminator bases,

a champion terminator base,

 some dread bases,

 some troop,

and some odd and ends.

     

So I am still building the army, but was wondering what people thought a good, fun to play 1850 list would look like?

So I forgot to also say that I bought 3x brass etch from forge world, and also a bunch of differant arms for the dreads.....

I also made some custom dice, they have a scorpion on them for the 6 and look great.

My next order to forge world will have a dread drop pod, another fast attack squad, maybe another Loth, and Culln but not sure on those two yet.

So I have started a new army and its the Red Scorpions. I am however changing the colours as I don't like the grey and yellow. So I am going with a Red, White, and some gold here and there.

I started with a large order from Forge World.

I ordered the following:
1x comander Culln
2x Loth and Honour Gaurd. LOVE these they look amazing!
2x Dreadnought great looking banner
5x Veterans Haas, and upgrade pack
4x Land Raider doors
5x Rhino Doors
1x Vangaurd Vets
1x Lok, just cause.....
1x Land Raider Achilles cause its great!!!
4x terminators shoulder pads.

I think that was it.

From Dragon Forge I ordered in troop, terminator, and dreadnaught bases. felt that if I was going to do this army I should do it right.

To protect it, I have ordered in a 720 from Battlefoam.
